New: Save D.Tube Videos Straight to Your Cloud
D.Tube is back with a brand new platform, and Transfercloud.io now supports it. Paste a D.Tube link into Transfercloud.io and we’ll download the video in the best quality available and send it to your Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, pCloud, Mega or any other Save Point you use. No software to install, nothing downloaded to your phone or computer.
Many general-purpose video downloaders can’t handle the new D.Tube yet, because the site changed how it streams videos. We added dedicated support so your D.Tube links just work.
Subtitles Included
Many D.Tube videos come with a transcript in the video’s original language. When a video has one, Transfercloud.io saves it next to the video as a standard .srt subtitle file. It has the same name as the video plus a language code, for example .el.srt for Greek or .en.srt for English.
Because the names match, players like VLC, MPV, Kodi and Plex pick the subtitles up automatically. Just open the video and choose the subtitle track. If a video has no transcript, you simply get the video.
Please note that D.Tube transcripts are usually generated automatically, so expect the odd misheard word.
How to Save a D.Tube Video: Step by Step
1. Copy the link. Open the video on D.Tube and copy the address from your browser. It looks like https://d.tube/watch/93uWqHnaSxhoCxhcbVpgC9. Embedded player links (https://play.d.tube/?v=...) work too.
2. Paste it into Transfercloud.io. Log in at transfercloud.io and paste the link into the download box, the same place you add torrents, magnets and web links. Transfercloud.io recognizes it as a D.Tube video automatically.
3. Choose where to save it. Pick one of your cloud Save Points, or keep it on our server’s Local Storage and grab it later.
4. Submit and relax. You can close the page. The download runs on our servers, and you can follow its progress in Active Transfers. When it’s done, the video (and its subtitles, if there are any) will be waiting in your cloud.
Good to Know
Quality: we always grab the highest resolution D.Tube offers for that video, usually 1080p.
File names: videos are saved as dtube- followed by the video’s ID, for example dtube-4130f5be-b01c-469b-a10e-d50a4e23391a.mp4. Feel free to rename them in your cloud. Just rename the .srt file the same way so your player keeps matching them.
File size and quota: full-length HD videos can be several gigabytes. A 90-minute film in 1080p is about 4 GB, so make sure your plan has room for it. Downloads that go over your quota are stopped.
Tip for slow connections: because the video goes from D.Tube to your cloud server-to-server, it doesn’t matter how slow your home or mobile connection is. Start it from your phone and watch it later on your TV.
